ChatBond began with a simple idea: make it easier to connect in small, temporary rooms. Its next chapter is being reconsidered, with safety at the center of the decision.

The original ChatBond has been discontinued. Work on a new version restarted on May 26, 2026, with a redesigned interface, messaging, voice notes and improved room controls.
The rebuild is currently paused while FunMakerz considers the safety and legal safeguards needed for an anonymous chat platform, including how to address harassment and misuse.
Development may resume with a stronger safety approach, or the rebuild may be cancelled permanently. There is no confirmed return date or public 2.0 release.
